Air/Water Inverter Heat Pumps Maxa i290
The new range of i-290 series of Maxa heat pumps are manufactured and assembled in Italy and were designed for residential and commercial applications to provide space heating/cooling and sanitary hot water.
The new generation of Maxa heat pumps i-290 uses natural refrigerant gas R290, which improves the environmental impact and the energy efficiency.
The completely natural refrigerant R290 is environmentally friendly and ensures a long term solution in terms of efficiency and environmental sustainability.  Due to its GWP index of 3, guarantees almost zero impact on the propagation of greenhouses gases.
In addition, the use of the natural refrigerant R290 allows the generation of hot water with temperatures up to 75°C and guarantees excellent energy efficiency levels. 
The inverter technology employment together with DC brushless motors ensures higher global energy efficiency of equipment also thanks to high and effective modulating power. The employment extension to all components gives the COP and EER improvement and a substantial increase of partial loads efficiency.

Technical Features
  • Twin rotary compressors with DC inverter technology, designed to operate with ecological refrigerant R290
  • Axial flow fan with DC brushless motor
  • Air side heat exchanger made of copper pipes and pre-painted hydrophilic aluminum fins.
  • Utility heat exchangers (water side) of brazed plate type, made of stainless steel AISI 304, with reduced pressure drop on the water side.
  • Built in water circuit with DC inverter circulator with high efficiency brushless motor (EEI<0,21), heat exchanger with a brazed stainless-steel plates, flowmeter, safety valve (3 bar), deaerator with air vent and water valve for system charge/discharge.
  • Refrigerant circuit is made with components of leading international companies including:  4-way cycle reversing valve, electronic expansion valve, liquid separator integrated with the compressor, liquid receiver (only for i-290 0112, 0115, and 0118 units), safety device (high-pressure switch), pressure transducers. 
  • Integral hydraulic system: high efficiency glandless circulator with variable speed brushless motor, flow sensor, deaerator with air valve, pressure relief valve (3 bar), water valve for system charge/discharge
  • All units are standard supplied with the following monitoring and protection devices: Built-in electronic control system with a microprocessor, return water temperature sensor, operating and antifreeze sensor, high/low pressure transducers, compressor and fans thermal protection device, water flow switch to protect the evaporator, high pressure switch

Certifications
The technical and performance data of all MAXA i-290 heat pumps are checked and certified by the EUROVENT (European Committee of Air Handling and Refrigeration) certification body.
Additionally, all MAXA i-290 heat pumps carry the European HP KEYMARK certification mark and comply with the performance requirements as defined by the European Ecodesign Regulation, EU 813/2013 and 814/2013.
Furthermore, all MAXA i-290 heat pumps have the SG Ready (smart grid ready) label which certifies that the heat pumps management technology can respond to defined external control signals thus allowing the heat pumps to integrated into smart grid systems.

Models and Capacities
The MAXA i-290 heat pump is currently available in 11 different models with capacities from 6 kw to 50 kW in heating mode.
